Chat with a tiny 5.7M-parameter goblin language model that runs entirely in your browser, with its brain lit up in 3D

Zezek the Goblin

Web ·

by Eric Rhea

A small custom-trained chat model runs locally in the page with no server, while a 3D view shows activations flowing through its layers as it writes each token. You can mutate its weights and watch the replies change.

Notes

23 MB model download and slow CPU generation (about 30-40s per reply in headless Chrome); replies are charming but often incoherent. Maker is also the competition organizer. Post says it was trained with a nanochat setup, not an AI coding tool.

Source checked 2026-10-16. Descriptions summarize the maker's own account, not independent testing.
